Allah is Watching You

Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb

        Alhamdulillahirabbil a’lamin, wa bihi nasta’in, a’la umuriddunya waddin. Wassalatuwassalamu ‘ala asyrafil anbiyai wal mursalin, wa ‘ala alihi wasahbihhi ajma’in.        

            First of all I would like to thank Allah SWT for giving us mercy and blessing until we can attend this class. Secondly, My salawat and salam be with our prophet Muhammad SAW peace be upon him, who has guided us from the darkness to lightness in this world. Thirdly, I will never forget to thank lectures who has given me opportunity to deliver my speech in front of you. I would like to present my speech under title  God Never Sleep.

            Ok, start my speech, I want to ask you: Have you ever gone to the supermarket that has a CCTV? Did you realize there are many cameras that will monitor what you do? It will record everything of your activities. If you realize it, maybe you will not do something bad, such steal some goods. But, if you do not realize it, you will do anything that you want to do, no matter it is good thing or bad thing.

            Today I will tell two aspects of my speech. Those two aspects are: (1) Allah SWT always sees our activities, (2) Allah SWT controls our activities by the angels.

            Like CCTV in a supermarket, there are many monitors in our life, and it will record everything of our activities. As human being created by Allah SWT, we should realize that Allah SWT  is All-seer about everything of us.

            First, based on QS. Al Baqarah 233:

وَاتَّقُوْا اللهَ وَاعْلَمُوْا أَنَّ اللهَ بِماَ تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ                            

“and fear Allah and know that Allah is All-seer of what you do”.

From that surah, we know that Allah SWT  always sees everything of our activities, He is never sleeping. Allah SWT will knows wherever, whenever, and whatever of what you do. Actually, there is no place to hide, cause every places in this earth is always seen by Allah SWT. Sometimes, you though that there is no one who sees what you do, you just keep do sins. After you do the sins, you just realize that you have done a sin. You know that you have done a bad thing, but some of you will do it again. But, Allah SWT controls you every second 24 hours a day.

            Secondly, based on QS. Qaaf 17:

إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَا نِ عَنِ الْيَمِيْنِ وَ عَنِ الْشِّمَا لِ قَعِيْدٌ

“Remember that the two angels make a note of human deeds, one sitting on the right and one on the left”.

From that surah, we know that Allah SWT is not alone in control us, He accompanied by the two angels, they are Raqib and Atit. Raqib is makes a note of human good deeds and Atit makes a note of human bad deeds. They make a note of human deed without exception. Wherever you go, whatever you do, they will follow you, they will beside you to make a note of your deeds.

            In conclusion, I realize that Allah SWT always sees everything that we do although there is no one who sees and knows it. But, sometime we do not realize that Allah SWT sees what we do, we keep do sins. So, in closing, I encourage you if you want to do anything, you should remember that Allah SWT is not sleeping. Have you remembered it?
